GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF CLASS:
The purpose of the class is to maintain the upkeep of the pools. The class is responsible for vacuuming the pool, cleaning the restrooms; maintain the chemicals in the pool, and other pool duties. The class works according to set procedures under direct supervision.
Checks the water in the pool and maintains the water pump.
Administers the chemical treatment to the water and monitor its composition through testing.
Performs any other tests as needed to the water in the pool.
Maintains and cleans the restrooms.
Performs related tasks as necessary.
INVOLVEMENT WITH DATA, PEOPLE, AND THINGS
Requires comparing or inspecting items against a standard.
Requires serving others such as customers; attends to their requests and exchanging information with them.
INVOLVEMENT WITH THINGS:
Requires handling or using machines, tools, or equipment that require brief instruction or experience such as water pump machines or other similar equipment.
Requires performing semi-routine work with occasional problems.
Requires performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Requires reading basic sentences, instructions, or work orders; writing simple sentences and
completing uncomplicated job forms; speaking sentences using basic grammar.
Requires manual tasks prescribed by standard practices, but which may require computation, several procedures, and independent judgment with obvious choices; requires normal attention for accurate results.

Requires being responsible for guiding others, requiring a few decisions affecting few coworkers; works in a stable environment with clear and uncomplicated written/ oral instructions, but with some variations from the routine.
VOCATIONAL/ EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE PREPARATION
VOCATIONAL/ EDUCATIONAL PREPARATION:
Requires high school diploma, GED, or specialized vocational training.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATION AND LICENSES:
Requires a short demonstration up to and including one month.

PHYSICAL AND DEXTERITY REQUIREMENTS:
Requires light work that involves walking or standing most of the time and exerting up to 20 pounds of force in a recurring basis.

The job requires normal visual acuity and field of vision, hearing, speaking and color perception.
