GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF CLASS:
Responsible for the supervision of a team of cashiers and other front office personnel at the Municipal Court (monitors, provides training, and assists in hiring and with operational issues.)
Provides direction and support to Fiscal Techs and other front operations personnel and ensures excellent public service (answers questions, addresses concerns, offers assistance as needed).
Oversees pay stations and monitors transactions (communicates with head tellers regarding adequate cash, etc.).
Participates in hiring of new Fiscal Techs and front personnel when requested.
Provides training for Fiscal Techs and front personnel on policies and procedures related to the Municipal Court.
Resolves employee concerns to ensure positive working team and takes necessary steps for disciplinary action (directly disciplines, participates, or provides input on disciplinary actions).
Plans and prepares work schedules (ensures proper coverage) and assigns employees to specific duties.
Writes or provides input on employee evaluations.
Handles all types of customer transactions as needed (receives payments, provides court information, etc.) and assists with Fiscal Techs' duties when needed during opening or closing hours.
Holds meetings with front personnel when necessary.
Performs routine office tasks such as data entry, filing, typing correspondence, etc.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requires copying, transcribing, entering, or posting data or information.
Requires speaking to people to convey information of a general nature.
INVOLVEMENT WITH THINGS:
Requires handling or using machine, tools, or equipment that require moderate instruction and experience such as computers, software programs such as word processing, spreadsheets, or custom applications, switchboards, fax machines, and complex copiers; may service office machines.
Requires performing semi-routine work with occasional problems.
Requires performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; may calculate ratios, rates and percents.
Requires reading technical instructions, manuals, procedures manuals, and charts to solve practical problems such as routine office equipment instructions or methods and procedures for investigations; composing routine or specialized reports, forms, or business letters with proper format; speaking compound sentences using normal grammar and word form.
Requires entry level professional work requiring general understanding of operating policies and procedures and their application to problems nor previously encountered; application of professional principles and practices and the use of a wide range of administrative methods in the solution of problems; requires normal attention with short periods of concentration for accurate results and occasional exposure to unusual pressure.

VOCATIONAL/ EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE PREPARATION
VOCATIONAL/ EDUCATIONAL PREPARATION:
Requires Associate's degree, vocational degree, or specialized training equivalent to satisfactory completion of two years of college education with emphasis in Accounting or a closely related field.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATION AND LICENSES:
Valid Texas Drivers License.
Requires over one year and up to and including two years.

Requires sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and routine keyboard operations.
